Our Mission compliment her other passion. After earning a Ph.D. in Psychology (following in her mother's footsteps), Marcela set out to make her contribution to society by focusing her energies on behalf of issues that were relevant to women and children. During that time, she also made use of her creative talents in design, music composing, singing and writing. Marcela says that those other interests constituted her way of de-stressing.
Once her work in the field of Psychology reached an impasse, Marcela came to the realization that it was time to re-direct her energies into creating beautiful things; only that this time she was going to do it as her career.
Armed with a good dose of self-confidence and the unconditional love and support of her husband Jonathan Richard as well as that of her family, she slowly began to fulfill her life's other calling: becoming the creative force behind Marcela Calvet.
